Parabens are known environmental pollutants with possible negative health side effects. Despite this, parabens are found as preservatives in many cosmetic and skincare products. Preservatives are what allow products to have a long shelf life, keeping ingredients fresh and active. There have been studies showing that parabens can mimic estrogen - and some estrogens are known to drive the growth of tumors. One scientific study reports that parabens were found in samples of breast tumors.

While the FDA has come to the conclusion that at the moment parabens are safe, at Isabella Pelle we adhere to a precautionary principle and do not include parabens in any of our products.
